CAF Increases Prize Money by 52% for Women’s Champions League
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant increase in prize money for the Women’s Champions League, set to take place in Morocco this month.
Starting this year, the prize money has been raised by 52%, ensuring that each qualifying team will receive at least $150,000. The winners will now take home $600,000.
CAF first introduced cash prizes for the tournament in 2022, with teams previously receiving $100,000 each in the last two editions. The new structure reflects a commitment to enhancing support for women’s football across the continent.
The 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League kicks off on Saturday, November 9, with the final scheduled for November 23.
