CAF WCL:Mamelodi Sundowns and Sporting Club Casablanca set for a thrilling Finale on Sunday

On Sunday afternoon, the CAF Women’s Champions League will set the stage for what is expected to be a thrilling finale between former champions, Mamelodi Sundowns and debutants Sporting Club Casablanca in Korhogo, Cote d’Ivoire.

The CAF Women’s Champions League, now on its third edition, has been one of the success stories for CAF’s Women’s football development in Africa.

The winner of the event will pocket USD 400, 000 while runners-up will take home USD 250, 000.

Mamelodi Sundowns have appeared in all Finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2021 and 2022. They won the inaugural event in 2021 and finished second in 2022 after losing to another Moroccan side, ASFAR.

Sporting Club Casablanca, on the other side, are appearing in their first final. They advanced to the final after eliminating Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa on penalties after a thrilling draw 2-2.
