CAL Bank leads equities on local bourse; records decline in share price

Cal Bank Plc (CAL) at the end of Thursday’s trading session recorded the most trades as it accounted for 75.04% of the total value traded.

Total volume and value traded of the stock on the market amounted to 661,366 and GHS 568,863.42 respectively.

Pesewa One Plc emerged as the second most traded stock on the exchange ahead of MTNGh recording 148,982 and GHS 98,328.12 in total volume and value traded.

MTNGh on the other hand recorded 39,747 and GHS 39,880.00 in total volume and value traded.

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) declined by 1.19 points on the day to close at 2,692.98 representing a YTD return of -3.45%.

The  GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also lost 2.18 points to close trading  at 2,212.94 translating into a YTD return of 2.84%. 

In the aggregate, fifteen (15) equities participated in trading, ending  with only one decliner namely Cal Bank PLC. (CAL) as it lost GH¢0.02 to  close at GH¢0.86 representing a YTD return of -1.15%.

As a result, the market capitalization of the GSE closed at GH¢ 64 billion.
