This news comes amid a challenging season for Real Madrid, which has seen their hopes for silverware dwindle after a disappointing Champions League quarter-final exit and a loss in the Copa del Rey final to Barcelona.
Ancelotti’s tenure at Real Madrid has faced scrutiny following a series of underwhelming results, including three losses to their arch-rivals Barcelona this season. Despite winning the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, the pressure has mounted on the Italian manager as the team sits four points behind Barcelona in La Liga with just five matches remaining.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti’s departure will be amicable, and a formal announcement is expected soon. He will coach Brazil in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, marking a new chapter in his illustrious career.
As Real Madrid prepares for this transition, the club faces a crucial decision regarding its leadership. Ancelotti will not lead the team at the upcoming Club World Cup in the USA, leaving them to either appoint a caretaker coach or make a swift move to secure his replacement.
