The COVID-19 pandemic, apart from disturbing normal life, has led to a lull in economic activities around the globe. Ghana has started its vaccination programme and there is a steady growth in the number of people being vaccinated.

Experts are optimistic about the programme and are of the opinion that it would enable people to resume work and there will be a revival in economic activities that suffered a huge setback for the first time after 30 years.

Experts say that the roll out of the vaccines will boost business. Professor Peter Quartey and Dr Saed Boakye, are of the belief that the vaccination programme will also instill confidence among foreign players operating in Ghana and will open the doors for business opportunities.

The Government of Ghana is envisioning an economic growth of 4.5% to 5% this year and the vaccination programme is expected to create a positive impact on the GDP.
