CSOs Present Eight Key Reform Priorities to President-Elect Mahama

The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working on Extractives, Anti-Corruption, and Good Governance has presented to the President-elect, John Mahama, some eight recommendations it describes as “critical priorities” for the incoming administration.

A statement issued by the Coalition on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, outlined the termination of the Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML) contract, abolishment of the Agyapa Royalties Deal, review of the Mineral Income Investment Fund (MIIF), and reforms of the energy sector, among the eight recommendations needing the urgent attention of the President-elect John Mahama.

Adding that, the consideration and execution of the outlined recommendations align with the President-elect’s first 120-day social contract with the Ghanaian citizenry.

The Coalition in the statement, stated it stands ready to support Mr Mahama’s administration in implementing reforms that enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

“We assure you of our unwavering commitment to collaborating with your administration to build a better Ghana for all,” said the Coalition.
