Cyber Security Authority, CID Arrest 39 Suspects in Joint Cybercrime Raid at Adom City Estate

A joint operation by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has led to the arrest of 39 individuals at Adom City Estate, Tema Community 25, Greater Accra, marking a significant crackdown on cybercrime networks.

The suspects were apprehended in the early hours of Thursday, August 21, 2025, following intelligence-led surveillance. Among those arrested were three (suspected) minors.

The operation targeted a suspected cyber fraud hub believed to be operating within the residential enclave. The raid was carried out with heavy security, and digital devices, laptops, and other materials were seized for forensic analysis.

All 39 individuals are currently in police custody and will be processed for court.

The clampdown forms part of a wider national strategy to combat online fraud, financial scams, and related cyber-enabled crimes that continue to affect individuals and institutions across Ghana.

The Cyber Security Authority urges the public to remain vigilant and to report suspected fraudulent activities.
