Stock market remains flat posts -9.19% YTD returns

The Ghana Stock Exchange [GSE], at the end of Monday’s trading session, recorded no change in equities as it closed at 2,533.04 points, the same mark as  it opened, representing a YTD return of -9.19%.

The GSE Financial  Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also maintained its value to close trading at  2,035.38 points translating into a YTD return of -5.41%.

Six (6) equities traded, with no gainer nor decliner as market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢64.35 billion.  

A total of 17,994 shares valued at GH¢19,438.81 was traded on the day. Compared with the previous GSE trading day (August 19), Monday’s data shows an 52.43% decline in volume traded as well as a 91.68% decline in trade turnover.

Meanwhile, Cal Bank PLC. (CAL) accounted  for 59.30% of the total value traded and also recorded the largest volumes traded.
