Dr. Mildred Adusei-Poku Honoured at 9th Forty Under 40 Awards 2025
Senior Lecturer in Virology at the University of Ghana Medical School, Dr. Mildred Adusei-Poku has been honoured for her exceptional dedication to leading research in respiratory viruses and HIV at the just-ended 9th edition of the Forty Under 40 Awards held on September 5th, 2025.
The remarkable achievement underscores her holistic approach to co- leading Ghana’s COVID-19 Testing Team at various testing sites including Noguchi Memorial Centre and Tamale xxxxx.
Dr. Mildred has published widely on infectious diseases and also a respected personality advocating for best healthcare practices in the sector.
The award is an initiative from Xodus Communications Limited with support from Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry which seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished young leaders under the age of forty from a wide range of sectors.
The iconic awards scheme was attended by dignitaries such as the Chief of Staff- Administration, Nana Oye, diplomatic corps, government officials, and traditional institutions.
Addressing the gathering after winning, Dr. Mildred Adusei-Poku appreciated the tremedous honour and the recognition.
According to her, she will continue to support various communities with healthcare education on respiratory viruses and HIV.
