Dubai Chambers’ CEO H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashid Lootah explores investment prospects in Ghana

In a pivotal interview with NorvanReports, H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashid Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, delved into the strategic investment avenues for Dubai-based companies in Ghana. Mr. Lootah’s maiden visit to Ghana marked an opportune moment to discuss potential collaborations in key sectors.

With a keen eye on Ghana’s rich raw materials, the President and CEO of Dubai Chambers underscored the immense potential in the food processing sector. Specifically, he highlighted the economic value inherent in local processing, emphasizing cashews as a prime example. This aligns with the Dubai Chamber’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships and value addition.

Expanding the conversation to the technology landscape, the President and CEO of Dubai Chambers illuminated the promising opportunities for tech startups. Citing the success of the Expand North Star exhibition in Dubai, he noted the Africa 100 sub-event, a dedicated platform connecting African tech startups with global investors. This initiative aims to catalyze the growth of tech enterprises, potentially birthing unicorns from the African continent.

When queried about the pathway to membership and establishing a company in Dubai, H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashid Lootah outlined a straightforward process. Any company setting up in Dubai is automatically inducted into Dubai Chambers. Prospective businesses in Ghana can liaise with the local office, receiving expert assistance throughout the setup process at no cost. This exemplifies Dubai Chamber’s commitment to nurturing diverse businesses within the city.

H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashid Lootah concluded the discussion by emphasizing the strategic importance of intensified efforts in West Africa. Envisaging a reciprocal flow of businesses, he drew parallels to the historical success of ties between the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dubai, and East Africa. The goal now is to replicate and enhance this success with West Africa, creating a conduit for new opportunities and robust trade and investment.

In the ever-evolving landscape of global business, the Dubai Chambers, under H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashid Lootah’s leadership, positions itself as a dynamic facilitator, fostering meaningful collaborations for mutual prosperity.
