ECG goes cashless starting today
Information reaching norvanreports indicate that the ECG beginning today, Thursday, May 11, 2023, is completely migrating to a cashless mode of payment for its services.
This means that all ECG offices across the country will only accept mobile money and bank deposit slip for payments, but no more physical cash.
Customers are therefore required to either load up their cash to their mobile money account before visiting any ECG office to pay bills.
Alternatively, customers can also pay the bill directly into the ECG bank account and present the slip at the ECG office for a receipt.
The new system eliminates the incidents of no payment of bills and the attendant bribery and corruption identified in that space.
