ECG Launches Nationwide Revenue Mobilisation Campaign: “Operation ALL MUST PAY”

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has launched a nationwide revenue mobilisation campaign, dubbed “Operation ALL MUST PAY,” aimed at recovering outstanding customer arrears to strengthen the company’s financial position.

The campaign, which will run from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025, targets all categories of customers, including residential, commercial, industrial, and government institutions.

Announcing the initiative, ECG’s General Manager of External Communication, Dr. Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, stated that special teams would be deployed across the country to ensure compliance, while monitoring for illegal connections and unauthorised power reconnections.

“This campaign is focused on all customers, including residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. Special teams will be deployed to ensure compliance, and we will closely monitor for any illegal connections or attempts to reconnect power,” Dr. Ayiku said.

He noted that unpaid electricity bills remain a major challenge to ECG’s financial sustainability, warning that customers risk disconnection and additional reconnection fees if they fail to settle their arrears promptly.

“The ALL MUST PAY campaign is crucial for strengthening the financial health of ECG and improving service delivery, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply across the country,” Dr. Ayiku added.

Customers have been advised to make payments through approved channels, particularly the ECG Mobile App, available on the Google Play Store, or by contacting ECG’s call centre for assistance. Dr. Ayiku also cautioned against fraudsters offering fake payment options.

As part of the exercise, ECG teams will conduct meter integrity checks and engage customers to address operational concerns.

The company is urging all customers with outstanding bills to take immediate steps to settle their accounts to avoid service interruptions. For more information, ECG is directing customers to its official website and social media platforms.
