FIFA Club World Cup: Global Football Stars Set to Energize US Communities
As excitement builds for the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup™, the 32 best soccer teams from around the globe are preparing to arrive at their designated Team Base Camp Training Sites across the United States. This historic tournament promises to electrify communities nationwide as top-notch training facilities are set to host world-class players and coaches.
FIFA has confirmed the selection of 34 Team Base Camp Training Sites in 14 states, ranging from Florida to California, where the participating clubs will hone their skills ahead of the group stage matches. The tournament will not only showcase elite football but also foster connections between the teams and local communities.
“We’re pleased to confirm the Team Base Camp Training Sites that will host qualified clubs throughout the group stage of the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup,” said FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström. He emphasized that the event will create lasting bonds between the teams and the communities that support them.
Among the states selected, Florida leads with nine training sites, followed by California with five and New Jersey with four. Other states, including North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Washington, will also host multiple clubs. Facilities at Major League Soccer (MLS) training centers, such as those of Charlotte FC and Inter Miami CF, will be utilized, highlighting the high-quality infrastructure developed by MLS teams.
In addition to the main training sites, Venue Specific Training Sites will be available near match stadiums, providing teams with excellent preparation hubs leading up to their games.
