Elon Musk maintains world’s richest man title with $219bn net worth

Elon Musk has maintained the enviable title of being the world’s richest man.

According to the latest ranking of the top ten richest men in the world by Forbes, Elon Musk leads his compatriots with a total net worth of $219bn.

This is despite a $44bn outright purchase of microblogging website, Twitter last week.

Trailing behind Elon Musk in second position with a total net worth of $171bn is owner of Amazon, Jeff Bezos.

In fourth and fifth place is Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and Warren Buffet, Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway.

Bill Gates and Warren Buffet per the rankings are worth $129bn and $118bn respectively.
