Ernest Nuamah nominated for CAF Young Player of the Year award

Ernest Nuamah has earned nomination for the CAF Young Player of the Year award. This 20-year-old winger who scored 15 goals and made 4 assists in 34 League games achieved remarkable success in the Danish Superliga while playing for FC Nordsjaelland in the 2022-23 season.

He grabbed three individual awards – Young Player of the Year, Best Player (chosen by coaches), and Player of the Season (selected by fellow players).

Nuamah made his Ghana debut in June 2023 against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers held in Antananarivo.

A panel of CAF Technical Experts, African Football Legends and selected media representatives from a number of countries put together the preliminary list for the various categories with the performance of the nominees between November 2022 and September 2023 serving as the period under consideration.

Nuamah is amongst ten (10) nominees for the CAF Young Player of the Year – for players under the age of 21.
