EYES 2025: Ekumfi Youth MP Lauds Transformative Initiative For Youth Development

The Ekumfi Constituency in the Central Region of Ghana, has taken a pivotal step towards youth-driven development with the inauguration of the Ekumfi Youth Empowerment Summit (EYES) 2025, an initiative designed to equip young people with the tools necessary to foster economic growth and social transformation in the constituency and the region at large.

Sekina Arthur, Youth Member of Parliament for the Ekumfi Constituency, has described the summit as a “groundbreaking initiative” that underscores the strategic importance of empowering the constituency’s youth.

“This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative journey for our community, emphasizing empowerment and progress,” she remarked in a statement issued on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

The initiative, spearheaded by Kays Event & HR Solutions, aims to address systemic barriers to youth development, equipping participants with skills and knowledge to drive economic resilience and innovation.

Ms Arthur emphasized that the constituency’s youth are both the architects of tomorrow and the innovators of today, with the potential to convert challenges into opportunities.

In her statement, Ms Arthur called for cohesive stakeholder collaboration to harness the energy and creativity of the youth, framing the summit as a critical component of Ekumfi’s broader developmental agenda.

“This is more than an event; it is a call to action and a platform for ambition, aligning with the shared responsibility of shaping a thriving future for Ekumfi,” she stated.

The summit aligns with national priorities for youth empowerment and economic diversification, reflecting an effort to foster inclusive growth.

She encouraged stakeholders of the summit to contribute resources and expertise to the initiative, with a view to building a resilient and self-sufficient constituency.

“The future begins now, with each of us committed to creating an empowered Ekumfi,” Ms Arthur posited.

The Ekumfi Youth Empowerment Summit is poised to become a key driver of the constituency’s socio-economic progress, setting a blueprint for similar initiatives across the country.
