Failure to repay MoMo loans could affect chances of acquiring future loan facilities – BoG to defaulters
The Central Bank has cautioned defaulters of mobile money loans against plans of not repaying loans owed telecommunication companies.
In a statement issued by the Central Bank on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, the Central Bank averred that refusal of debtors to repay MoMo loans will affect their credit history, thereby making it difficult for debtors to secure future loan facilities.
The Central Bank has therefore advised debtors to contact their respective telecommunication companies or lenders to make repayment arrangements.
