FIFA Club World Cup 2025: A Comprehensive Guide to the Exciting Tournament

The much-anticipated FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ is set to kick off in the United States from June to July 2025, featuring an expanded format with 32 of the world’s top football clubs competing for global glory. This landmark tournament will showcase elite teams from six confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, Conmebol, OFC, and UEFA.

Qualified Teams and Group Stage Draw

A total of 31 out of 32 teams have secured their spots in the tournament. Here’s the breakdown by confederation:

– CAF (Africa): Al Ahly, Wydad AC, Espérance de Tunis, Mamelodi Sundowns
– AFC (Asia): Al Hilal, Urawa Red Diamonds, Al Ain, Ulsan HD
– UEFA (Europe): Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter Milan, and others
– Concacaf: CF Monterrey, Seattle Sounders, CF Pachuca, Club América/LAFC (TBD)
– OFC (Oceania): Auckland City
– Conmebol (South America): Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo, River Plate, Boca Juniors
– Host Nation: Inter Miami CF

Group Stage Format

Each group consists of four teams, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stage. The groups are as follows:

Tournament Schedule and Venues

The tournament kicks off on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with the opening match between Inter Miami CF and Al Ahly. Matches will be held across 12 venues in the U.S., culminating in the final at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.

– Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Atlanta, GA
– TQL Stadium – Cincinnati, OH
– Hard Rock Stadium – Miami, FL
– MetLife Stadium – New York/New Jersey
– And others across major U.S. cities

The Trophy and Official Match Ball

The new FIFA Club World Cup Trophy, unveiled in November 2024, was designed in collaboration with Tiffany & Co. Additionally, the official match ball, created by adidas, features a red, white, and blue design inspired by the U.S. flag.

– 32 teams, 8 groups of 4
– Single round-robin group stage
– Top 2 teams from each group advance
– Knockout stage from Round of 16 to Final
– No third-place match

With the excitement building for the tournament, fans are eager to see which club will emerge victorious in this historic event. As teams prepare for the challenge, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 promises to be an unforgettable celebration of football, bringing together the best clubs from around the globe to compete for the ultimate prize.

Prize Money Breakdown

A total prize pot of £775 million will be distributed among the 32 teams, with the tournament winners earning up to £97 million. Here’s how the prize money is structured:

– Group Stages: £1.5 million for a win, £800,000 for a draw
– Round of 16: £5.8 million
– Quarter-Final: £10.1 million
– Semi-Final: £16.2 million
– Finalist: £23.2 million
– Winner: £30 million

Additionally, clubs will receive a participation fee based on various sporting and commercial criteria, with European clubs earning more than their counterparts from other continents. The highest-ranked European clubs will receive £29.6 million, while the lowest will earn £9.9 million.
