FIFA Club World Cup 2025: City and Juve Shine, Bounou Denies Real

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 delivered another round of exhilarating matches, with Manchester City and Juventus securing comfortable victories, while Al Hilal pulled off a stunning draw against Real Madrid.

Manchester City 2-0 Wydad AC

In a pivotal Group G clash, Manchester City triumphed over Wydad AC with a 2-0 scoreline at Lincoln Financial Field. Phil Foden was the standout performer, scoring the opening goal just 111 seconds into the match and later assisting the second. Despite Rico Lewis receiving a late red card, City’s early dominance ensured they maintained control throughout.

Real Madrid 1-1 Al Hilal

Meanwhile, Real Madrid faced a resilient Al Hilal in Group H. Yassine Bounou emerged as the hero, denying Madrid’s Federico Valverde with a crucial penalty save, resulting in a 1-1 draw. This marked a historic moment, as Al Hilal became the first team to prevent Real from winning in a FIFA tournament since 2000.

FC Salzburg 2-1 CF Pachuca

Juventus 5-1 Al Ain FC

Juventus also made a statement, thrashing Al Ain FC 5-1 at Audi Field. Kenan Yildiz shone brightly, scoring a spectacular goal, while teammates Francisco Conceicao and Randal Kolo Muani each netted two goals, further solidifying Juve’s status as a team to watch in the tournament.
