FIFA WCQ: South African Football Association announces return of fans into stadium ahead of game against Ethiopia
After 18 frustrating months, South African supporters have welcomed news they can flock to the FNB Stadium tomorrow to watch South Africa play against Ethiopia.
For the very first time since March 2020, fans will make their way through the turnstile as 2,000 vaccinated people will be allowed in to watch the 2022 Qatar Fifa World Cup qualifier.
It has come as a huge relief for most South African fans, who have been banned from stadiums since the Covid-19 pandemic wreck the world in 2020.
Adding to the frustration was the sight of other major leagues in the world especially Africa opening up stadiums while the P.S.L remained shut due to strict lockdown regulations.
The South African Football Associattion has urged supporters to register for a ticket on ticketmaster.co.za by providing the unique voucher code they were given when they were fully vaccinated.

At the verification hub, they also need to show the bar code or SMS, which is scanned and their ID verified against a photo identity to gain access to collect their ticket.
The Bafana Bafana beat Ethiopia 3-1 in Addis Ababa and will be looking to complete the doubleheader over their counterparts with the sudden news of fans being allowed into the stadium tomorrow.
South Africa sit atop of Group G with a point ahead of Ghana with three matches to end the third qualifying round in Africa’s pathway to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar next year.
