FirstBank UK MD Highlights Collaboration With FirstBank Ghana in Introduction of Private Banking & Wealth Management Service

FirstBank Ghana has introduced its Private Banking and Wealth Management service aimed at providing tailored financial solutions for high-net-worth clients. The initiative seeks to offer investment products and wealth management solutions to customers seeking financial stability and growth.

Speaking at the event to introduce the Private Banking and Wealth Management service to customers, Olukorede Adenowo, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank UK, highlighted the significance of the collaboration between FirstBank Ghana and its UK counterpart.

He emphasized the role of the new service in delivering wealth management products designed for both present and future financial security.

“It’s about bringing solutions and offerings to prospects and clients in Ghana—wealth products, private banking products that they can always utilize today and for the future,” Mr Adenowo stated.

He also pointed out that the global volatility faced by several African economies underscored the need for financial stability. Mr Adenowo, however, noted that the UK provides a relatively stable financial environment, which allows investors to hedge their wealth through various financial instruments.

“We are joined up as a private bank, a global private bank, irrespective of the country where FirstBank operates. The UK provides stability, and many people want to hedge their wealth. Our solutions—including mortgages, mutual funds, and capital market investments—ensure that even during economic downturns, investors have a financial cushion,” he said.

On the issue of safeguarding investments against fraudulent activities, Mr Adenowo underscored the importance of dealing with reputable institutions. He reaffirmed FirstBank’s legacy and global presence, noting that the bank has been in existence for over 130 years, serving more than 10 million customers across Africa and operating branches in China, France, and other key markets.

FirstBank’s Private Banking and Wealth Management proposition is a one-stop shop for convenient banking, supported by the Bank’s robust Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and a team of well-trained, service-oriented personnel.

FirstBank’s offering will comprise a comprehensive suite of products and services tailored to the specific requirements of each client with the aim to deliver discounted pricing and exclusive access to financial products and services.

It also includes access to a dedicated banker or team of bankers, personalized investment advising, and financial planning.
