Clarion Call to Save Actor Mawuli Semevo After Severe Fire Burns

A heartfelt appeal has been made to Ghanaians and the general public to provide financial support for the treatment of veteran Ghanaian actor, Mawuli Semevo, who is currently fighting for his life after suffering severe burns in a tragic domestic fire.

Semevo, a beloved figure in Ghana’s entertainment industry, sustained over 44% second-degree burns on his body when a raging fire engulfed his home while he was asleep.

The incident has left him in critical condition, with medical professionals working tirelessly to stabilize him.

A distress call and a race against time

Executive Director of Beyond Burns International, Judith Cato Addison, revealed the distressing details in an emotional video appeal on social media.

She recounted receiving a desperate call about the actor’s condition and rushing to the hospital, only to find him in a dire state.

According to her, Semevo suffered extensive burns from head to toe, with his face scorched and all his hair lost due to the intensity of the flames.

Additionally, she said the actor sustained serious respiratory injuries, making it difficult for him to breathe properly.

The urgent need for financial assistance

The cost of Semevo’s treatment is enormous, requiring immediate financial intervention for specialized care, medications, and possible surgeries.

As a veteran actor who has contributed immensely to the arts and culture of Ghana, this is the moment for the public to rally behind him and show appreciation for his legacy.

Beyond Burns International is calling on philanthropists, fans, the government, corporate organizations, and all well-meaning Ghanaians to donate whatever they can to save his life.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in ensuring that Semevo receives the critical care he urgently needs.

Donations can be made through MTN MoMo Merchant Number 716049, in the name of Beyond Burns International. The reference should be Mawuli.
