Foundry Camp’s Talent Program Prepares Future Tech Leaders

Foundry Camp is excited to announce the successful completion of its groundbreaking talent program in partnership with HUBiquitous. The Foundry Camp Talent Program is a comprehensive and immersive educational experience designed to identify young individuals who show exceptional potential and passion in technology-related fields such as IoT.

After a rigorous selection process, talented participants were handpicked to join this program. The talent program was executed in two phases. A boot camp that combines the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) and design thinking, equipping participants with the skills and mindset to drive innovation in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, and a training phase.

The IoT and Design Thinking Bootcamp was a three-day program held on the 3rd, 4th, and 6th of May in Accra, providing a unique and immersive learning experience for all participants. Throughout the boot camp, attendees gained a deep understanding of both the technical and human-centred aspects of innovation.

The boot camp and training phase featured a comprehensive curriculum that encompassed IoT and design thinking fundamentals, connectivity protocols, cloud platforms, and security, as well as design thinking principles, ideation, prototyping, and iteration methodologies. Participants gained a deep understanding of the technical aspects of IoT with a project-based while embracing a human-centred approach to problem-solving

Throughout the boot camp, participants engaged in hands-on exercises, workshops, and collaborative team activities. They had the opportunity to work on IoT projects that mirrored real-world applications, collaborating with their fellow participants. This collaborative environment fostered creativity, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.

The training phase of the talent program was also a crucial component of the program. It provided participants with an extended period to delve deeper into their IoT projects. The IOT program’s training phase is focused on participants exploring and applying their newly

acquired expertise and knowledge to create unique solutions using Waziup technology. They obtained a thorough understanding of how the WaziDev boards communicate data to the cloud via the WaziGate. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, including Samuel Maison, participants refined their ideas, developed prototypes, and honed their technical skills. The training phase enabled participants to bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing them to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

The Talent Program provided participants with further support and guidance in their professional development. Participants had access to networking opportunities, and continued learning resources, ensuring they had the tools to thrive in the IoT and design thinking industries.

Foundry Camp has built a strong reputation for helping driven entrepreneurs in Ghana launch successful MVPs and deliver high-quality technology education and mentorship programs, empowering individuals to unlock their potential and make a significant impact in the digital era. The talent program is built upon this foundation, offering a unique opportunity for participants to gain expertise at the intersection of IoT and design. We provide entrepreneurs with the resources they need to develop, deploy, and test their MVPs by working with industry researchers and innovators.

Foundry Camp provides critical technological and operational support, such as access to our network of mentors, entrepreneurs, and investors.
