ChatGPT Captures 48.36% of All AI Tool Traffic

ChatGPT: The Clear Market Leader
ChatGPT alone drew 46.6 billion visits, capturing 48.36% of all AI tool traffic. It ranks first overall, outperforming every competitor in web traffic, app store reviews, media citations, engagement, and weighted score. With 26.2 million app store reviews, 2.4 million media citations, and an average session time of 15 minutes and 25 seconds, it is unmatched in visibility and user trust. Its weighted score of 81 out of 100 is the highest in our study, cementing its dominance.
Momentum Is Accelerating
Despite already leading the market, ChatGPT continues to grow at a remarkable pace. Over the past 12 months, its traffic increased 106% year-over-year, averaging 3.88 billion visits per month. In the last quarter, that number rose sharply to 5.01 billion monthly visits, a 29% increase compared to its annual average. Even more striking, visits climbed from 2.4 billion in August 2024 to 5.2 billion in July 2025, marking a 116.7% surge within a single year. This shows that ChatGPT is not only holding its lead but also accelerating at scale.
Short Methodology:
Sujan Sarkar (Co-Founder) at onelittleweb.com, a top SEO agency, led the analysis of 10,500+ AI tools from August 2024 to July 2025. • +106% year-over-year traffic growth despite already leading the market
  • Averaged 3.88B monthly visits; surged to 5.01B/month in May–July 2025 (+29% vs. annual average)
