The session was dominated by Scancom PLC, operators of MTN Ghana, which accounted for the overwhelming share of market activity.

Despite the trading activity, the market recorded no gainers or losers, with all traded counters closing at their previous prices.
The absence of price movement suggests a quiet session for market pricing, even as liquidity remained concentrated in a few counters, particularly MTN Ghana.
Market heavyweight GCB Bank PLC remained unchanged at GH¢36.00, while Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC closed flat at GH¢71.38. Ecobank Ghana held at GH¢48.00, and Fan Milk PLC remained at GH¢13.32.

The exchange-traded fund segment also recorded no activity, with NewGold ETF closing unchanged at GH¢501.92.
On the Ghana Alternative Market, Samba Foods PLC, Meridian Marshalls Holding Company, Hords PLC, Intravenous Infusions PLC and Digicut Production & Advertising PLC all closed unchanged.
The day’s trading pattern reinforces the continued dominance of a few large-cap counters in driving market liquidity, with MTN Ghana remaining the central source of turnover on the local bourse.
For investors, the session reflected price stability but narrow participation, with market activity heavily concentrated in telecoms and selected petroleum-linked counters.
The next session is expected to test whether recent trading momentum in MTN Ghana and ZEN Petroleum can attract broader participation across banking, insurance and consumer stocks, or whether the market will remain liquidity-heavy but price-flat.
