GFA President Commends Clubs for Successful 2024-25 Premier League Season

Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the 18 clubs that participated in the 2024-25 Premier League season. In a press statement, he highlighted the resilience and passion displayed throughout the campaign, marking it as a significant period for Ghanaian football.

The season culminated in a memorable title win for Gold Stars FC, who were congratulated by Simeon-Okraku for their well-deserved championship. He also encouraged teams that fell short to take pride in their journeys and return stronger for the next season.

Simeon-Okraku acknowledged the crucial roles played by match officials, administrators, medical teams, groundsmen, volunteers, and media partners, emphasizing their collective contributions to the success of the league. He lauded the unwavering support from fans, stating, “You are the soul of Ghana football, and your love for the game remains our greatest source of inspiration.”

While celebrating the achievements of the season, the President also addressed some unfortunate incidents that marred certain matches. He noted that these moments serve as reminders of the ongoing need for a safer and more respectful football culture. The GFA remains committed to strengthening education at the club level and enhancing matchday protocols to improve the environment for players, officials, and fans alike.

Looking forward to the 2025-26 season, Simeon-Okraku reaffirmed the GFA’s mission to strengthen the foundation of Ghanaian football. He expressed confidence that together, stakeholders would rise, improve, and showcase the true greatness of the sport.

In closing, he thanked everyone involved for their contributions during the 2024-25 season, setting a positive tone as the GFA prepares for the upcoming campaign.
