GGBL proposes final dividend of GH¢0.016 per share for 2023 financial year

In a recent announcement, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) disclosed its intention to recommend a final dividend of GH¢0.016 per share to its shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. The proposed dividend pertains to the financial year ending on June 30, 2023.

To be eligible for this final dividend, shareholders must be duly registered in GGBL’s books as of the close of business on Monday, October 23, 2023. This crucial date, known as the “Qualifying Date,” establishes entitlement to the dividend distribution.

GGBL will shutter its shareholder register on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in preparation for the dividend payment process.

Investors eyeing the final dividend must take note of the ex-dividend date, set for Thursday, October 19, 2023. It’s important to highlight that investors acquiring GGBL shares prior to this date will be entitled to receive the final dividend. Conversely, those acquiring shares on or after October 19, 2023, will not be eligible for this distribution.

Subject to approval, GGBL anticipates making the final dividend payment on Friday, December 29, 2023.

This dividend proposal marks a significant financial development for GGBL, as the company continues to deliver value to its shareholders. Shareholders and investors are advised to stay abreast of these key dates to ensure their eligibility for the final dividend.
