Ghana Association of Banks Appoints Kwamina Asomaning as New President
The Ghana Association of Banks (GAB) has elected Kwamina Asomaning, the Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Ghana, as its new President. He succeeds John Kofi Adomakoh, who completed his tenure following his exit from GCB Bank Plc.
In a statement, GAB expressed appreciation for Mr. Adomakoh’s dedicated service and leadership within the banking industry.
Leadership and Strategic Vision
The Association highlighted Mr. Asomaning’s extensive experience in both international and local finance, emphasizing his strategic vision and leadership skills.
“Mr. Asomaning’s proven leadership, coupled with his strategic approach to innovation, makes him well-positioned to lead the Association in strengthening industry collaboration, enhancing financial stability, and promoting sustainable economic growth in Ghana’s banking sector,” the statement read.
Under his leadership, Stanbic Bank Ghana has been recognized for its commitment to innovation, customer focus, and sustainable banking practices.
Other Key Appointments
The Association also announced the continuation of other key executives, meanwhile, Hakim Ouzzani, Managing Director of SG Ghana, will continue as Vice President, and Henry Onwuzurigbo, Managing Director of Zenith Bank Ghana remains the Treasurer.
The Ghana Association of Banks expressed enthusiasm about working with Mr. Asomaning to advance the growth and stability of Ghana’s banking industry.
