Ghana U-23 men’s team, the Black Meteors, have been drawn in the same group as hosts Morocco in a tough passage to the U23 Africa Cup of Nations  semis after with Guinea and Congo completing the group.

The draw, attended by African legends Patrick Mboma and Aziz Bouderbala, was conducted in Rabat, Morocco on Friday.

Ghana secured their place in the tournament after beating Algeria 2-1 on aggregate in March, thanks to goals from Fatawu Issahaku, who converted diligent passes from Ernest Nuamah in both legs.

In the final tournament’s opener of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana will face Morocco on Saturday 24 June 2023 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat with the match will kicking off at 21:00 local time (20:00 GMT).

The U23 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2023 will take place between 24 June to 08 July 2023 in the cities of Rabat and Tangier.
