Ghana Gold Coin Valued at GHS 36,058.11 per Ounce
The Bank of Ghana has released its latest pricing for the Ghana Gold Coin, reflecting global bullion strength and local currency movements as of Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
According to the central bank, the 1-ounce coin is priced at GHS 36,058.11, while the 0.50-ounce and 0.25-ounce denominations are set at GHS 18,366.16 and GHS 9,514.47 respectively.
The pricing reflects the previous day’s London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) price of $3,314.75 per ounce and an exchange rate of USD/GHS 10.40 as quoted by Bloomberg.
The pricing comes at a time when gold remains resilient amid persistent global macroeconomic uncertainties, with investors continuing to seek refuge in the yellow metal.
The Ghana Gold Coin, launched as an investment asset, has seen increased demand from domestic investors looking to hedge against local currency depreciation and inflationary pressures.
The Bank of Ghana’s regular updates on the gold coin pricing serve as a reference point for both retail and institutional buyers, reinforcing the country’s growing focus on precious metals as part of broader financial diversification efforts.
