Ghana Hubs Network, Building Bytes partner to launch Ghana Innovation Tour

The Ghana Hubs Network (GHN) has entered into a strategic partnership with Building Bytes, a media platform that tells relevant stories about Ghana’s tech and digital economy, to launch the Ghana Innovation Tour, a national initiative aimed at showcasing the impact of tech hubs and entrepreneurs driving digital transformation across Ghana.

The partnership will see Building Bytes document innovation hubs across the country through a landmark storytelling and live event experience, offering firsthand insights into the startup and digital economy beyond Greater Accra.

The Ghana Innovation Tour is expected to highlight Hub founders, startups, ecosystem enablers, and groundbreaking innovations emerging from various regions, providing a holistic view of Ghana’s tech landscape.

The project will kick off with a pilot episode featuring Duapa Werkspace in Takoradi.

A Nationwide Approach to Innovation Storytelling

Speaking on the partnership, Yaw Antwi Owusu, Team Lead at Insights Lab the producers of Building Bytes, emphasized the importance of leveraging existing knowledge and proven systems to support tech builders.

“At Building Bytes, we believe that tech builders, whether founders or professionals shouldn’t have to start from zero. Instead, they should build on existing knowledge, proven systems, and tested processes. The Ghana Innovation Tour will provide firsthand insights into what it takes to grow startups and careers across Ghana’s digital economy—not just in Accra, but nationwide.

“By showcasing innovation across key regions beyond Greater Accra, this initiative will offer a holistic view of Ghana’s tech landscape, ensuring that no great idea or opportunity goes unnoticed. We are excited to partner with the Ghana Hubs Network to bring this vision to life and amplify the stories shaping Ghana’s digital future,” he remarked.

Yaw Adu Gyamfi, Chairman of the Ghana Hubs Network, described the partnership as a crucial step in giving hubs the visibility they need to scale their impact.

“The partnership with Building Bytes provides hubs across the country with a platform to amplify their impact, showcase the startups they incubate, and highlight the market-oriented innovations being developed. Ultimately, we expect this initiative to increase the visibility of hubs, attract strategic partnerships, and scale their impact,” he stated.

Bringing Ghana’s Innovation Ecosystem to the Forefront

The Ghana Innovation Tour will go beyond documentation, incorporating community engagement, live events, and industry collaborations to ensure a wider reach.

GHN will facilitate access to its member hubs, providing Building Bytes with firsthand access to founders, workers, and innovators shaping Ghana’s digital future.

The series is expected to serve as a resource for investors, policymakers, and aspiring entrepreneurs, offering an in-depth look at the business models, challenges, and successes of innovation hubs outside the capital.

What’s Next?

The pilot episode is set to premiere in June 2025, with additional episodes rolling out throughout the year. GHN and Insights Lab will collaborate to secure additional funding through sponsorships, grants, and partnerships to expand the project.

Stakeholders in Ghana’s tech and innovation ecosystem are encouraged to follow @BuildingBytes and @GhanaHubsNetwork for updates, exclusive content, and live event announcements.
