Ghana Link picks awards at Ghana Shippers Awards

Ghana Link Network Services (Gh-Link), technical managers of trade facilitation tool, the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), has won two prestigious awards at the just-ended Ghana Shippers Awards held by the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA).

Ghana Link on the night of the awards – Friday, October 1, 2021 – picked the award for the Best Trade Facilitation organisation of the year and Excellence in Innovation & Technology company of the year.

This award comes at a time that many have touted the ICUMS as the best trade facilitation tool which has come to reduce the then long workflow process that existed and helped the government to ramp up on revenue mobilisation even at the time that cargo volumes had reduced due to the outbreak of covid 19.

Receiving the awards on behalf of the company the Director of Operations of Ghana Link Network Services Raymond Amaglo said, the recognition is one that is welcomed by the company and challenges Ghana Link to do more in introducing new models that will enhance trade facilitation in Ghana and help better it rankings in the ease of doing business going forward.

He added that the company was determined to making Ghana a model for Africa when it comes to customs management tools while ensuring that they were ready to export the system and Ghanaian expertise to other parts of the continent.

Popularly known as Chairman, Nick Danso Adjei who is the Executive Chairman of Ghana Link and other companies was also affirmed the Personality of the Year on the night.
