Ghana ranks ninth (9th) among the top 10 African countries with the most data breaches in 2024 according to data from the Netherland-based virtual private network (VPN) firm Surf Shark.
Globally, Ghana ranks 92nd.
According to Surf Shark, Ghana has had over 4 million data breaches this year which implies that Ghana records 12 data breaches per every 100 Ghanaians.
