Ghana’s U-15 Girls Advance to CAF African Schools Championship Final with Victory Over South Africa

Ghana’s U-15 girls team has made history by advancing to the final of the CAF African Schools Football Championship after a thrilling 3-2 victory against defending champions South Africa in a gripping semi-final match held at the University of Ghana.

The high-stakes contest saw Ghana take an early lead in the first half, showcasing their attacking prowess. South Africa, however, quickly responded, leveling the score and briefly shifting the momentum in their favor. Undeterred, the young Ghanaian side regained control, scoring two more goals to establish a commanding 3-1 lead.

Despite a late surge from South Africa, which resulted in a consolation goal, the Ghanaian girls remained resolute, holding firm to secure a memorable victory and a spot in the final. Their discipline, creativity, and resilience were evident throughout the match as they effectively navigated the pressure exerted by their more experienced opponents.

This impressive win marks a significant achievement for the Ghana girls, who have demonstrated remarkable progress throughout the tournament. They will now face Uganda in the final, entering the match with renewed confidence and determination as they aim to clinch the continental title and cap off a remarkable campaign.
