GPL: Aduana FC Appoints Cioaba Aristica as New Head Coach in Bid to Revitalize Season
Aduana FC, a prominent club in the Ghana Premier League, has made a significant move to turn their season around by appointing Romanian coach Cioaba Aristica as their new head coach.
The announcement, made via a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 10, welcomed Aristica back to the club with the message, “Aristica is home. Welcome back, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐛𝐚.”
This decision follows the club’s recent parting with Yaw Acheampong, whose tenure was marred by disappointing performances.
Under Acheampong’s leadership, Aduana FC managed only two victories, six draws, and suffered four defeats, leaving them languishing in 13th place on the league table with just 12 points from 12 matches.
With the team in need of a turnaround, the management hopes Aristica can bring fresh ideas and motivation to the squad. Known for his tactical acumen and ability to inspire players, Aristica’s return to the Dormaa-based club is seen as a pivotal moment for Aduana FC, who are eager to improve their standing and make a push for the Ghana Premier League title.
The new coach will face his first challenge next weekend when Aduana FC takes on Berekum Chelsea in a crucial Week 13 fixture of the 2024/25 league season.
