GPL: Asante Kotoko Triumphs, Nations FC’s Home Streak Ends; Gold Stars Regain Top Spot
Asante Kotoko returned to winning form in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Aduana FC, showcasing an impressive team performance. Striker Albert Amoah, back from injury, sealed the win in the 61st minute after defender Patrick Asiedu opened the scoring early.
This win eases the pressure on coach Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum, lifting Kotoko to 7th place with 18 points, while Aduana FC sits at 13th.
Nations FC suffered their first home defeat since promotion, falling 1-0 to Berekum Chelsea. A penalty from Stephen Amankona in the 18th minute ended their 22-match unbeaten home run. Nations dropped to second in the league, while Chelsea moved up to 9th.
