GPL: Players and Coaches Vie for October NASCO Awards
The NASCO awards are approaching, with seven impressive players and three outstanding coaches nominated for their performances in October.
For the Goalkeeper of the Month award, four players are in the running. Kofi Mensah from Nations FC played four matches, keeping two clean sheets and conceding two goals.
Emmanuel Kobi of Bibiani GoldStars stood out with three clean sheets in five games while also conceding two goals. Fredrick Asare from Asante Kotoko recorded three clean sheets and conceded three goals, while Lawrence Osei of Heart of Lions had one goal against him along with three shutouts.
In the coaching category, Frimpong Manso of Bibiani GoldStars leads with three wins in five matches, helping his team score six goals and concede just two.
Kassim Mingle Ocansey of Nations FC, with two wins and a draw in four games, and Prosper Ogum of Asante Kotoko, who also managed three wins in five matches, are the other nominees.
For Player of the Month, Asante Kotoko’s Albert Amoah stands out with four goals in five games. Faisal Charwetey from Nations FC scored three goals, and Kelvin Oppong of Bibiani GoldStars contributed two goals in four matches.
The winners will be announced soon, and anticipation is high for the results of this competitive month.
