GPL Wk16: Great Olympics beat Hearts in Mantse Derby; King Faisal return to winning ways 

Sulley Muntari made his debut for Hearts of Oak in their 1-0 defeat to Accra rivals Great Olympics in the Ga Mantse derby at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Yussif Razak’s 31st minute goal was enough to give Annor Walker’s men all three points.

Olympics are now unbeaten in their last three games against the champions after beating them 2-0 in the first round of last season before holding them to a 1-1 draw in the second round. 

Elsewhere, Berekum Chelsea beat Dreams FC 1-0 at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu courtesy a goal from Kelvin Obeng just before half-time. (45+3).

In Sunday’s other games, Bibiani Gold Stars were 1-0 winners over Aduana Stars, Elsewhere, WAFA were held to a goalless draw away to Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Augustine Okrah and Emmanuel Annor scored to hand all three points to the home side, moving them to 2nd place, within 4 points on leaders Asante Kotoko.

On Monday, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be looking to extend their lead at the top to 7 points when they take on Elmina Sharks at the Ndoum Stadium.
