GSE Begins Week’s Trading Activities With GHS 118Bn Valuation, 7.30% YTD Return

The total value of equities traded on the local bourse for last week amounted to over GHS 18.8 million.

Total volume of equities traded amounted to 2.29 million at the close of last week.

The GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) ended the week at 5,245 points indicating a positive year-to-date change of 7.30%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index also ended the week at 2,497 points also indicating a positive year-to-date change of 4.89%.

Market capitalization of the local bourse ended the week at a valuation of GHS 118.04 billion.

At the close of last week, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) and TotalEnergies emerged as gainers on the local bourse.

The two equities gained two pesewas and four pesewas, ending the week with share prices of GHS 0.44 and GHS 13.41 respectively.

The two equities begin today’s trading session at the same prices.

The local bourse is anticipated to witness robust trading activities this week leading to an uptick in the GSE-CI and the market capitalisation of the bourse.

The local bourse also begins today’s trading session at a valuation of GHS 118 and a year-to-date return of 7.30%.
