GSE: Benchmark index records no changes despite price gain in NewGold

GSE: Benchmark index records no changes despite price gain in NewGold

The Ghana Stock Exchange’s Composite Index (GSE-CI) did not record any change as it closed at 2,461.71 points representing a  YTD return of -11.75%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI)  also maintained its level to close at 2,070.46 points, translating  into a YTD return of-3.78%. 

NewGold (GLD) ended today’s trading session as the sole gainer  as it moved up by GH¢0.90 to close at GH¢181.00.

Market capitalization for the day [Wednesday] settled at GH¢64.46 billion.

Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) emerged as the most  traded stock at the close of trading and accounted for 48.41% of  the total volume traded whilst NewGold (GLD) accounted for  93.10% of the total value traded.
