GSE-CI advanced 66.79 points to close at 3,130 points last week

The GSE-CI stood at 3,130.23 points, a 66.79 points rise from the previous week’s 3,063.44 points.

Thus, its year-to-date return climbed to 28.08%.

The GSE-FSI dipped 5.14 points week-on-week to record 1,901.57 points. Its year-to-date return thus settled at -7.36%.

The total market capitalization of the local bourse rose to reach GH¢73.89 billion. Total volume traded was 5,674,820 representing a jump compared to the 2,959,504 shares traded the previous week.

Total turnover similarly grew significantly, recording GH¢11,760,232.07 as against GH¢6,258,891.61 last week.

The price movers this week were BOPP, FML, IIL and MTNGH which earned GH¢2.00, GH¢0.21, GH¢0.01 and GH¢0.05 to close at GH¢22.00, GH¢3.25, GH¢0.05 and GH¢1.40.

Conversely, CAL recorded a GH¢0.02 decline to close at GH¢0.48.

Securing the top position in trading activity this week, CAL commands the charts posting a trading volume of 2,610,192 shares with a value of GH¢1,257,028.98.

There were also trades across the distribution and manufacturing sectors with TOTAL, GCB, and IIL being among the top five (5).
