 GSE-CI close at 2,739 points; returns -1.80% YTD

 GSE-CI close at 2,739 points; returns -1.80% YTD

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 0.60 points to  close at 2,739.23 on the first trading day of the week translating into a YTD return of -1.80%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 1.09 points to close trading at 2,168.38 translating into a YTD  return of 0.77%.

In the aggregate, sixteen (16) equities participated in  trading, ending with only one (1) gainer namely Cal Bank PLC. (CAL)  which gained GH¢0.01 (1.19% share price appreciation) to close at GH¢0.85 representing a YTD loss of 2.30%.

A total of 142,025 shares valued at GH¢172,244.97 were traded  compared to 10,989,751 shares valued at GH¢11,708,506.42 which  changed hands on Friday, 18 March, 2022. 

 Ecobank Transnational Inc. (ETI) at close of market traded the most volumes whereas Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC. (SCB)  accounted for 39.85% of the total value traded.
