 GSE-CI dips 7.43 points to return -0.55% YTD as StanChart records largest share of trades

 GSE-CI dips 7.43 points to return -0.55% YTD as StanChart records largest share of trades

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) declined further by 7.43 points on the fourth trading day of the week to close at 2,773.99 representing a YTD return of-0.55%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also shed 9.06 points to close trading at 2,144.97 translating into a YTD return of -0.32%.

FanMilk PLC.(FML)and Access Bank Ghana PLC. (ACCESS) both lost GH¢0.22 and GH¢0.30 to close at GH¢3.00 and GH¢2.85 respectively.

As a result, market capitalization declined by GH¢77.75 million to close at GH¢64.33 billion.

A total of 830,350 shares valued at GH¢774,616.11 were traded in ten (10) equities compared to 3,283,919 shares valued at GH¢3,705,186.5 which changed hands on Wednesday.

Standard Chartered Bank Ghana. PLC. (SCB) recorded the largest share of trades as it accounted for 72.8% of the total value traded on the day.
