GSE-CI falls 94.12 points; returns -13.07% YTD

The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) was down by 94.12 points to close trading at 2,424.74 points representing a YTD return of -13.07%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also dropped 18.23 points to close trading at 2,085.35 points translating into a  YTD return of -3.09%. 

Sixteen (16) equities traded, ending with three (3) gainers and decliners each. 

ACCESS, CAL and GLD were the gainers as they gained GH¢0.20, GH¢0.01 and GH¢2.04 to close trading at GH¢2.75, GH¢0.75 and GH¢152.80 respectively.

The decliners were ETI, MTNGH and SOGEGH as they lost GH¢0.01, GH¢0.08 and GH¢0.10 to close trading at GH¢0.15, GH¢0.83 and GH¢0.96 respectively.

Compared with the previous GSE trading day July 29, today’s data shows a 2784.55% improvement in volume traded and 67.73% decline in trade turnover.

Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) accounted for 94.53% of the total value traded and  recorded the largest volumes traded.
