GSE-CI remains flat for five consecutive days

Another lackluster session was witnessed at the Ghana Stock Exchange  (GSE) on Thursday as the GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI) on a fifth day  running did not record any change at the close of the trading session.

Persistent Cedi depreciation coupled with weakening macroeconomic cues dampened interest of investors in the equity market.

As a result, the GSE-CI closed at 2,508.99 points, the same mark as it opened, representing  a YTD return of -10.05%.

The GSE-FSI also maintained its value to close  trading at 2,079.94 points translating into a YTD return of -3.34%.

Nine (9) equities traded with no gainer nor decliner on the day as market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢64.49 billion.

A total of 149,788 shares valued at GH¢64,182.31 was traded on the Thursday.
