GSE-CI remains unchanged to close at 2,460 points

The Ghana Stock Exchange Composite Index (GSE-CI) did not record any change for the third day running to close at  2,460.31 points representing a YTD return of -11.80%.

The GSE FSI also maintained its level to close at 2,069.89 points,  representing a YTD return of-3.81%. 

The local bourse recorded no price movement as market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢64.79 billion. 

A total of 53,468 shares were traded across fourteen (14)  counters. These trades cumulated in a turnover of GH¢91,447.63.

Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) emerged the most traded stock at the close of trading session, accounting for  42.32% of overall trade volume, whilst Benso Palm Plantation  PLC. (BOPP) accounted for 38.91 % of the total value traded.

 Summary of trading activities for 0ctober 

Activities on the market saw a reduction in volume and an increase  in value and transactions over the same period last year.

Volume  traded was 21,344,190 down 55.27% compared to September 2022.

These trades were valued at GH¢150,057,248.32, up 188.61%  compared to September 2022.

The GSE equity market closed the  month with the Composite Index and Financial Stock Index  recording returns of -11.80% and -3.81% respectively.
