GSE: GCB share price declines by 0.19%

Share price of GCB fell by 0.19% to close trading session on Wednesday at GHS 5.19 pesewas.

The financial institution begun Wednesday’s trading session with an opening share price of GHS 5.20 pesewas.

GCB emerged the sole decliner on the Ghana stock market as a result of the decline in its stock price.

In all, a total of 263,155 shares valued at GHS1,460,858.51 were traded compared to 2,948,917 shares valued at GHS 3,927,845.8 which changed hands on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

Meanwhile, Ecobank Ghana PLC. (EGH) at close of market on Wednesday traded the most, accounting for 94.84% of the total value traded.

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) dropped 0.26 points to  close at 2,738.69 on the day translating into a YTD return of -1.82%.

The  GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also dropped 0.46 points to close  trading at 2,167.41 translating into a YTD return of 0.72%.

Market capitalization of the GSE closed at GHS 63.99 billion.
