GSE: Price of GLD fall by GHS 24 to hit GHS 233 per share 

New Gold (GLD) was the major decliner on the equity market as its price fell by GH¢24.87 to close at GH¢233.01.

GOIL Company Limited (GOIL) also decliner as its price fell by GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢1.74.

In all, a total of 27,560 shares were traded among seventeen (17) equities on Thursday.

On the back of the decrease in share price of New Gold and GOIL, market capitalization of the GSE decreased by GH¢76.04 million to close trading at GH¢64.72 billion.

The GSE Composite Index lost 0.37 points on the fourth trading day of the week to close trading at 2,460.31 points representing YTD  return of -11.80%.

The GSE-FSI remained unchanged for the second  consecutive day to close at 2,069.89 points, representing a YTD  return of -3.81%. 

Thursday’s trading session resulted in a turnover of GH¢202,877.77  with Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) recording the most trades whilst NewGold (GLD) accounted for 85.56% of the total value traded.
