GSE-CI remains unchanged to close at 2,461 points

The Ghana Stock Exchange’s Composite Index (GSE-CI) did not record any change to close trading at 2,461.52 points representing a YTD return of -11.75%.

The GSE Financial Stock  Index (GSE-FSI) also maintained its value to close trading at  2,070.10 points, translating into a YTD return of -3.80%.

The local bourse recorded no price movement as market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢64.45 billion. 

A total of 345,094 shares were traded across sixteen (16) counters. These trades cumulated in turnover of GH¢312,513.48.  

Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) emerged the most active stock at the close of trading session, accounting for 98.3.6% of the total value  traded and 98.36% of the overall trade volume.

Summary of September 2022 market activities

Activities on the market remained high in volume, value and  transactions over the same period last year. Volume traded was  47,720,862 valued at GH¢51,992,322.29.

Volume traded was up by  56.91%with value increasing by 22.65% compared with same period  last year.

Cumulative volume (1,280,374,211) and value (GH¢1,289,252,215.60) traded for the year represent an increase of  219.61% and 213.61% over the same period last year.
