IBF acknowledges resignation of Senyo Hosi as Lead Convener
The Individual Bondholders Forum of Ghana (IBF) in a statement has confirmed the resignation of Mr. Senyo Hosi from his prominent role as the lead convener. While the IBF had hoped for his continued stewardship, the organization understands that personal commitments and the constraints of time have led to his decision.
Mr. Hosi’s tenure has been marked by his unwavering dedication to the representation of individual bondholders, a role that gained prominence with the inception of the Debt and Distressed Entities (DDE) program. His efforts within the IBF have borne fruit, securing payments for matured principals and long-outstanding coupon payments and placing many members on firmer financial ground.
The void left by Mr. Hosi’s departure as lead convener will undoubtedly be felt by the IBF and the coalition of Individual Bondholders. However, the imperative to advocate for bondholders’ rights during negotiations with the Ghanaian government remains paramount and will persist.
The IBF reiterates its resolute commitment to the fundamental goals it was founded upon. The current leadership is resolutely entrenched in its mission to safeguard the interests of bondholders, assuring its members that its dedication remains steadfast.
As the financial landscape navigates this change, the IBF calls upon its membership to provide continued support to the leadership’s endeavors, rallying behind the shared mission to secure and optimize bondholders’ interests. The IBF remains an unwavering pillar in the dialogue between bondholders and the government, ensuring that the mutual objectives set forth by both parties are met with utmost diligence and accountability.
